Everything you need to know about Universal Orlando
The Universal Orlando area of the city is dominated by the theme-parks and resort of the same name. There is so much to do here, from seeing your favorite Hollywood creations come to life, to excellent dining experiences, live performances and excellent resort hotels with quick and convenient access to the group of Universal amusement parks. The Universal area was established in 1990 to the west of the city, just off International Drive highway. Although it is not quite as big as Walt Disney World’s Lake Buena Vista complex, parallels are obvious – fun, family theme parks, water parks, souvenir shopping and practically any regional cuisine you could think of. You can find it all in Universal Orlando.
If this is your first stay in Orlando’s Universal, getting to grips with the sheer amount of fun waiting for you is no easy task, so we have compiled the best of everything, all in one page. Find out where to go, what to eat, the best shops for your Universal Studios souvenirs (and Harry Potter’s magic wand), and what to do at night! Click the links below to see more.
