Pointe Orlando is an all-in-one dining, nightlife and shopping complex located just off the busy International Drive, a short drive from Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld. The charming array of shops, bars and restaurants are all set around a pretty landscaped garden complete with palm trees and fountains, making this a tranquil place to hang out both in the day and at night.
Emphasis in the daytime is inevitably more on the shopping and dining, and although the crowds are still drawn to the restaurants later on, Pointe Orlando really comes alive after dark with its impressive IMAX cinema complex, live music bars and famous Improv Comedy Club.

Nightlife at Pointe Orlando
If you’re coming for a drink, there are a few main venues to look out for at Pointe Orlando. B.B King’s Blues Bar is a fun spot to hit up on the weekend for their live bands (cover charge between $5-10 normally applies). The Pub is a British-style boozer that mixes things up with American comfort food, while Blue Martini goes more traditional, with a sophisticated layout and impressive menu of cocktails.
Another place you can get a drink is at the famous Improv Comedy Club, which promises a night of adult-only laughs. This Club has been heralded as a launching pad for the careers of dozens of famous comedians today, welcoming talent such as Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, and Drew Carey to their stage since opening some 40 years ago.
Dining at Point Orlando
Most of the restaurants at Pointe Orlando open for lunch (around midday), and continue serving throughout the day until 9pm or 10pm. Considering the size of the place, the range of cuisine here is undeniably impressive. Look out for Copper Canyon Grill, Marlow’s Tavern or the Capital Grille for some casual, no-nonsense dining.
Head to the more upscale Itta Bena, a speakeasy-style fine-dining restaurant that focuses on refined Southern classics with a creative touch from the chef. More restaurants further diversifying the dining scene at Pointe Orlando are The Oceanaire (seafood), Taverna Opa (Greek) and Maggiano’s Little Italy (Italian).
Other attractions at Pointe Orlando
Eating and drinking aren’t the only reasons Pointe Orlando is worth an afternoon or evening of your time. The onsite Regal Cinemas has a range of standard screens as well as Central Florida’s largest IMAX Theatre. Another family-favourite attraction is WonderWorks, an indoor amusement park featuring over 100 exhibits, rides and games for the kids, all set in a building modelled to look like an upside-down house!
For shopping, it must be said that the range of stores here is easily dwarfed by the nearby outlet stores on International Drive, but you’ll find a few familiar designer names such as Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret and Hollister.
