The nightlife in Orlando is surprisingly lively and varied. Given that the city is basically the theme park capital of the world, partying isn’t usually the first thing on the mind when planning your visit. However, the Downtown core, outer suburbs and tourist epicentres such as Disney and Orlando all promise an exciting mix of after dark fun.
Orlando’s Downtown area really comes alive at night, with plenty of local-style taverns, modern bars, rooftops, and throbbing nightclubs, while bustling entertainment hubs like Wall Street Plaza and Pointe Orlando offer lively spots for bar-hopping (especially if you arrive during happy hour). For those booked into a hotel in or around the major parks, Universal’s lively CityWalk hosts plenty of bars, restaurants and live shows, while catching Disney’s famous firework display over Cinderella’s Castle every night is a must.
