Taking a fun and educational approach to entertainment, Epcot does not focus on the roller coasters and famous characters which are firm fixtures of the other 3 parks that make up Disney World. Instead, Epcot has 2 areas: Future World, demonstrating human endeavour and innovation, along with World Showcase, which is effectively a permanent world’s fair with 11 nations represented around a giant manmade lake. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is 1 of 2 water parks at the enormous Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Compared to the Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon presents a bit more variety in terms of things to do, with opportunities to get up close to different species of sea life, as well as a few more traditional slides and flumes. Disney's Blizzard Beach is 1 of 2 water theme parks in the sprawling Walt Disney World Resort, just a few miles southwest of central Orlando. The concept at this park is rather wacky, but undeniably fun; it’s built around the idea that it was once a ski-resort which ‘melted into a watery wonderland’. A highlight is ‘Mount Gushmore’ – home to one of the world’s tallest and fastest waterslides. There are plenty of other, less hair-raising slides and attractions to keep the whole family occupied for the day. Read More...
