Attractions at Universal Studios Florida®

As well as a range of onsite dining and shopping options, big-name attractions here include The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, TRANSFORMERS: The Ride 3D, Fear Factor Live, MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack and The Simpsons Ride. Check out some of the highlights at Universal Studios below:

Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem – Fans of those little yellow minions will adore this ride inspired by the movie, taking you on an adventure (from the comfort of a simulator seat) through some of the famous scenes of the Hollywood blockbuster.

MEN IN BLACK: Alien Attack – This dark, atmospheric ride puts you right in the movie as you have to shoot your way through the alien attack in your moving car to survive until the end.

TRANSFORMERS: The Ride 3D – This ride offers an action-packed few minutes of fun. Don your 3D glasses for the ultimate immersive experience in the land of robots the size of buildings.

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts – part of the wider Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley™, this fun ride combines moving screens and moving cars, able to rotate 360 degrees. The visual effects are particularly impressive here and will appeal to even those who’ve never read the books or seen the movies before.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit® – probably Universal Studio’s most hair-raising ride, this roller coaster jolts you straight up from the ground on a huge tower before spinning you around a series of loops – all to the sound of 1 of 30 chosen songs pumping into your ears from the headrest.

The Simpsons Ride – This motion ride transports you to the crazy world of Springfield and The Simpsons. Fly over the town, getting a glimpse of seemingly life-sized icons such as Moe’s Tavern and the Kwik-E-Mart.

Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride® – This semi-digital ghost ride lets you fly through the underground tombs of Ancient Egypt, with mummies at every bend to give you a scare and the track dropping down into the darkness of unknown.

Universal Studios Florida: Good to Know

Remember that Universal Studios Florida is part of the wider Universal Orlando Resort®; you’ll need to buy a ‘park-to-park’ ticket if you want access into the other half (Islands of Adventure – more focused on the roller coasters for the bigger kids). To make the most of both parks, setting aside a day per park is advisable, with multi-day, all-inclusive passes starting at about $98 per day (for 2 days).

Universal Orlando® Resort is open all year, with opening times always starting at 9am, but with the closing time varying between 8.30pm and 10pm, depending on the time of year. Parking is available onsite while shuttle services run to many of the park’s nearby hotels.
