Orlando’s enormous SeaWorld is one of the most-visited marine life theme parks in the US, best known for its range of aquatic-themed rides and roller coasters, exhibitions and shows. Star attractions here include the Shark Encounter tunnel – allowing you to walk through an underwater world – as well as Dolphin Cove and Stingray Lagoon, both of which offer a ‘hands-on’ experience with the animals.
Part of the extended SeaWorld theme park in Florida site is the ever-popular Discovery Cove and Aquatica water park. Both are classed as separate theme parks and require their own tickets (or a combined park pass). Admission to SeaWorld alone starts at about $70 on weekdays and $87 on weekends for adults, with combo tickets including entry into Aquatica waterpark at $99.

To see some slightly more mysterious creatures inhabiting the bottom of the ocean, head to Sea of Legends, with popular attractions here including the Journey to Atlantis boat ride through the legendary lost city, and also Kraken – a floorless roller coaster taking you through an underwater world.
Follow a penguin home through the harsh storm at the Sea of Ice’s only attraction, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, or swap climates for the warmer, Mediterranean-themed Sea of Delight, home to the park’s huge 400-foot Sky Tower. It’s near the sea lion and otter viewing stadiums.
The Sea of Mystery’s main draw is the impressive shark-viewing tunnel, complete with an adjacent restaurant (Shark’s Underwater Grill) where you can tuck into lunch with the huge predators swimming around you. The Sea of Fun is a favourite with kids and promises family-friendly attractions like the Shamu Express roller coaster, a net climbing structure, and a water play area.
Finally, Sea of Power is the place to be to catch SeaWorld’s famous orca shows at the Shamu Stadium, while there are also some cooler simulator rides and animal exhibitions at Wild Arctic.
