Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney) is an outdoor dining, shopping and entertainment complex at the Walt Disney World Resort at Lake Buena Vista. It is one of several such areas that offers a mix of shopping, one-of-a-kind restaurants, and entertainment all in one place, but this one is undoubtedly the biggest in Orlando. There's something for everyone, and you can easily spend the entire day experiencing everything they offer. You can even see live shows and concerts in a small amphitheater on site.
There is a total of 93 shops across the Disney Springs property. Most shops are specialty boutiques and specialize in a particular theme, such as Disney's Days of Christmas, The Candy Cauldron, and Pin Traders. The largest and most popular store is World of Disney. You can find apparel, accessories, housewares, gifts, and toys.

But if you want something different, check out The Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex Cafe for a one-of-a-kind experience.
Disney Springs is home to La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil – one of the finest live shows in Orlando, featuring death defying stunts and incredible theatrics – and AMC Theater. If you want to catch a movie and grab a bite to eat, AMC offers cinema dining choices for many of their shows. DisneyQuest is a three floor indoor, interactive games arcade. Play classic arcade games or hands-on adventures like Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold where you have to fire cannons from your pirate's ship to defend your crew or Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters bumper cars.
Disney Springs is divided into four areas, all bordering Lake Buena Vista: The Landing, Town Center, Marketplace, and West Side. Visitors can travel from area to area by walking, or crossing the lake via a free water ferry. Likewise, buses and water taxis provide free transportation to and from Disney Springs to Walt Disney World resort guests.
