If weird is your thing, you’ll definitely want to wander into Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Orlando Odditorium. The building itself is strange as it’s made to look like it’s sinking into a huge sinkhole. The Odditorium is located at 8201 International Drive and admission is $16.95 plus tax for adults and $11.95 plus tax for children ages 4 to 12. The Odditoruim is open 365 days a year from 9AM to 1AM, with the last admission being sold at midnight. Robert Ripley is the founder of Believe It Or Not. He was an Indiana Jones like explorer that searched the world for the unbelievable and inexplicable. There are 27 Ripley’s museums in 10 different countries and each is 90% different from the next. One of the rarities in the Odditorium collection is a shrunken head from Ecuador, South America. The shrunken heads came from the Jivaro Indians who removed the heads of their slain enemies, shrank them and kept them as trophies. Tours of the museum are self-guided and take one to two hours to see everything from the portrait of Van Gogh made up of 3000 Van Gogh post cards to the matchstick Rolls Royce made from 1,016,711 matchsticks and even more of the strangest oddities you’ll ever see!
